Job Title: 2 nd Team Lead
FLSA: Hourly
Reports to: Department Supervisor
Location: ABB Byhalia, MS
Job Summary: Responsible for leading, communicating and directing distribution associates through daily activities while
placing high emphasis on safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping to meet the daily goals and objectives.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
-Lead communicates and direct distribution associates through daily activities focusing on safety, quality,
productivity, and housekeeping.
-Perform process audits to ensure compliance to documented procedures.
-Hands-on participation requiring high level of floor presence to direct the flow of daily activities and the timely
movement of associates to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness throughout the operation.
-Capture daily performance activity for determining effective methods to increase performance.
-Monitor system and communication with internal/external customers to ensure work in being completed
timely.
-Attend and assist with “Pre-Shift” meeting to share information, discuss safety, quality, daily plans, and staffing
needs.
-Provide feedback and input to supervisor regarding associate’s performance, behavior, and attendance.
-Follow all safety guidelines and always use appropriate PPE.-
-Other duties as requested by management.
Basic Qualifications (Include education, experience, special skills and licenses or certifications required):
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced distribution environment.
-High School Diploma or equivalency
-Prior experience as Supervisor/Team Leader a plus.
-Working knowledge of a warehouse management system
-Ability to operate power industrial equipment.
-Basic computer skills and good understanding of overall distribution operations.
-Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive information/situations in a professional manner.
-Must be able to lift to 40 pounds repetitively and frequently.
-Not afraid of heights – Ability to work at all module levels.
-Required to climb, bend, stoop, and stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout shift.
-Strong leadership skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
-Detailed and team oriented.
-Flexible to work different shift if necessary and overtime with little or no notice.
